Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Engineering and Metallurgy (BRICEM), specializing in technical research of uranium ore processing and hydrometallurgy, is a multidisciplinary and comprehensive research institute. She mainly deals with hydrometallurgy, fine chemical engineering, organic material synthesis, analytical test, environmental engineering, biological engineering, machining, architectural design, automation and instruments. At the beginning of 1960¡¯s, she has done her bit for the research of the first Atomic bomb in China with the accomplishment of the simplified manufacture of nuclear-pure uranium dioxide, which provided sufficient materials for the following procedures.
