XY-LABS Epoxy Resin lab tops are supplied in ten (10) distinctive custom colors to enhance the design possibilities within the laboratory environment. Our extensive variety of colors allows the designer wide latitude to build style, originality, and color coordination into the surrounding casework furniture, while offering the highest quality laboratory tops, matching or contrasting sinks and accessory, in the laboratory working environment. Lab Expoxy Tops are filled epoxy resin, molded into homogenous, non-porous sheets with no surface coating. All sheets are color and pattern consistent throughout the thickness and will have integral or adhesively seemed components up to maximum practical length. When fabricating XY-LABS laboratory tops and sheet material at the ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility, all fabricated cuts are made with diamond tipped, water cooled, rotary saws. Sink cutouts, faucet or gas tap fixture holes or other service hole requirements, are cut with diamond tipped routers and drill bits. Typical specification for epoxy countertops in accordance with US and its affiliates is 25mm or 1" Thickness. The maximum span for unsupported epoxy shall not exceed 30" (762mm) without intermediate support. The maximum cantilever shall not exceed 12" (305mm) without intermediate support. Fume Hoods Fume hoods, also known as fume cupboards, are enclosed safety devices aerodynamically designed to remove toxic and noxious gases produced when chemicals are mixed or tested. Within the double layer, steel epoxy powder coated superstructure, there is an inner chamber that promotes the efficient removal of fumes and reduces personnel risk of exposure to hazardous chemicals. Industry advances created various composite panels that are heat retardant, chemical resistant and moldable in the form of a white fiber / glass reinforced plastics (FRP / GRP) and are now considered the most commonly used inner chamber and baffle materials for today's fume hoods, along with Epoxy bases or work surfaces. XY-LABS Fume Hoods are provided with a one (1) year warranty on all products and components, including electrical, lighting, and blower systems. Any defective parts must be determined within twelve (12) months of receipt and to be returned to our authorized dealer along with complete proof of purchase and copy of purchase order.
