| Car Interface-Steering Wheel Interface ( HTCI-03 )is a learning remote which allows the customer to retain the use of their steering wheel or rear seat radio controls when replacing the factory head unit. It is a real Universal Interface. The UXI-X will interface all aftermarket stereos with IR remote, including Sony head unite, into all vehicles with steering wheel or rear seat audio controls. •There are four signal input wires instead of two signal input wires in the second generation, which makes more brand cars available by easy connection without any teardown and adding any other parts. It can be easily installed in Picasso (with controller in the both side of the steering wheel), Buick Regal (with +12V data output wires), and so on. There is an external extended wire for IR transmitter, which makes it is more convenient for hiding the interface when refitting. • Solved the problem from the second generation that doesn’t support Foryou dvd player, one model of JVC DVD players and Eclipse head unit. All head units with IR control function are available. • There is a data input wire for updating to the fourth generation. The third generation can be updated directly into the fourth generation, no need to change the third original steering wheel controller. • Installation is straight forward — just connects a few wires (a 4-wire hook up in many cars). • Learning is made easy with step-by-step LED confirmation. • Once connected, the USI-X’s failsafe memory will learn up to 12 functions from your receiver’s wireless remote, retaining them even if battery power is interrupted. • Assign the buttons on the steering wheel with ANY infrared function on the remote.
